Azadari History of Faridabad

A momin Sayyad Mahmood Hussain Rizvi came from Rampur to work in Faridabad. He established his home in area around Neelam Bata Road, which is now called A.C. Nagar. He started majlis at his home which was mainly attended by his family members. Soon, he traced an Urdu Poet Anjum Zaidi who was working in Goodyear Tyre Company at that time. He immediately joined them. Anjum Zaidi Sahib started Majlis with reciting of Meer Anees’ marsia in Mahmood sahab’s house. A foundation was laid and later more shia momneens joined this program and a fullfleged Azadari started at this place. 

Then momneens decided to bring out 28 Safar Jaloos on streets of Faridabad. On the behalf of Mahmood Saab an application was moved to DM. A route map was drawn on white paper. At that time Deputy Commissioner (DM) of Faridabad was Shri R.K.Singh IAS, he humbly granted permission First Shia Jaloos in this city and a new chapter was added in History of Faridabad. Now it is almost three decades our Azadari is continue.

After few years a Markaz was established in A.C. Nagar by Shia Momneens of Faridabad.  

Now every year Shia Momneens bring out their jaloos on streets of Faridabad. We don’t know where  that IAS Officer (R. K. Singh) is now, but we always pray for his well being and long life to our Allah and Imam. This is one of the biggest example of secular democratic India and communal harmony.

Shia Markaz:

This markaz was established in A.C. Nagar Faridabad in 1995 whose foundation was laid by Hujjatul Islam Allama Sayyad Jeeshan Haider Jawaadi Sahib. He contributed a lot for this purpose. Tanzeem-ul-Momneens (regd.) is the caretaker of this Markaz. Now every important shia event is organized the whole year in this markaz. Tanzeem-ul-Momneens bringsout 28 safar jaloos every year.

Azakhana Batool:

This is the oldest place, where Janab Mehmood Hussain Sahab revived azadari in Faridabad. In muharram days, 10 majlis are organized at this place. Anjuman Haidri doing this work with full warmness.
